How to Track Your BMW Order Online

The global chip shortage has impacted car shoppers all around the world, and it’s no different in Bozeman, MT. You can log in with My BMW login, then input your production number or VIN to get the status on your BMW currently being produced. If you’ve got a BMW built in the USA (generally, the X models of SUV), you’ll be waiting 4-5 weeks on average. If your BMW is built outside the USA, expect to wait roughly 10 weeks.

Log in to My BMW

If you’re a first-time owner of a BMW:

1. Head to BMWUSA.com
2. Pick “Owners” in the menu and then “Register for my BMW”
3. Enter your information to set up your account.
4. Once you click “Submit,” you will have to check your email to activate the BMW login.
5. After you open the email, select “My Garage”

If you currently own a BMW:

1. Head to BMWUSA.com
2. Select “Owners” in the menu, then “Sign in to My BMW”
3. Login with the username and password of the primary account holder
4. Select “My Garage”

Tracking Your BMW

1. Click on “Track My BMW” at the top of the My Garage menu
2. Click “Add a Vehicle”
3. If you’ve got the VIN, add that. If not, click “Enter Production Number.” Note that if you’ve only got the production number, the specs might not be exact until the vehicle hits production.
4. Once you add the vehicle, click on “My Vehicles” on the My Garage menu and after that, “Track Status”
5. This will bring up a timeline of the production events.

112 Order scheduled for Production. Up to this point you can usually make changes to your order. Once it goes into the next status, 150, the vehicle is already on the assembly line and cannot be changed.
